MORE INFO: Two New Courses for the Autumn Business-to-Business E-Commerce and Bills Of Material... Business to business ecommerce Technology has influenced business-to-business trading relationships for several decades, but the advent of the World Wide Web brings a step function change to the way that business will be conducted for the future. There are many indices predicting the value of trade, $107 billion in the year 2000 to quote one. Will your company be one of those leading the way? Have you established the business case? Are you aware of the differing trading models and do you have any idea how to implement the solution? Does your organisation have an e-Business strategy and can you implement an e-Procurement business-to-business programme without it? This workshop will be run on 3rd October by David Mannion, MIOM, Principal e-Business Consultant for ICL. It will show delegates how to run a benefits analysis and where to apply the technology in their supply chains. A complete solution is broader than just the e-Commerce software. There will be some process realignment in the supply chain and the technology issues extend to interfacing with the existing enterprise resource planning systems. Bills Of Material This one-day course presents the operation of bills of materials for use by planning and manufacturing departments and will be given by Tony Wild, MIOM, of Midas on 12th October 2000. The discussion will include the design, application and control of bills and their application in a wide variety of industries. The course aims to: Review the structure of bills of materials for effective production Identify the options for structuring products Define the responsibilities for controlling and updating bills of materials Show how to use the bills of materials in planning.
