In Part 2, Control Volume 31 Number 1 we developed the theme by outlining a five point plan for retailers: managers must empathise with staff, create a learning organisation, enhance recruitment and develop a career path for sales assistants. create a performance management system that is simple and visible. In Part 3 we outline the last element of the five point plan.
